— The Endless Knot, according to the Buddhist interpretation, means/represents infinite wisdom and compassion for all sentient beings, as well as eternity and unity. It’s a reminder that everything in the universe is related, and that future events have their root in the present. The knot, eternal design and symbol that it is, tells us that we are bound to our karmic destiny. It’s suggestive of opposing forces, such as the dualities of good and evil, or light and darkness, being destined to come together to create harmony in the universe.
— Ubuntu, an African word/philosophy, stands for kindness, humanity and compassion. It signifies how someone will use their strengths on behalf of others, primarily the oppressed and downtrodden. It represents how my humanity is inextricably bound to others.
(Thanks to irresistiblerevolution for bringing the latter into my life!)
