holy moly.
just got off a very important phone call.
after a moment of reflection, this is what i can manage to put into words:
passion.
you know what i love about passion?
not only is it something you feel, something that drives you, but, when it’s true, it’s also recognizable by your peers; it becomes real.
passion is pure.
so when you find it, never let it go.

a weekly recap.
this week was pretty great.
first off, it was great to be back at work and see my family.
secondly, i was present for a wedding.
thirdly, there was an awesome reception full of dancing and laughter.
fourthly, i’ve facilitated two, soon to be three, wonderful site visits at my work. hopefully they will bear fruit—perhaps via AFT, NYSUT, Kerry Kennedy and the RKF Center for Justice...

the beginning of something beautiful.

a personal goal of mine this year, this month, is to partake in fasting for 5-7 days (from sunrise to sunset). i wish to do this to be in solidarity with my Muslim family and friends, live and learn, as well as experience one of the most sacred parts of Islam.
