just another day.
it’s been a truly rough day.
the high school shooting that occurred in Chardon, OH is the very same school my cousin attends. he is okay, but wasn’t far from the shooting. this all just hit very close to home.
two residents are leaving tomorrow: one who reminds me of my papa in nearly every way possible, and another—and only person at work—who knows me inside and out.

went out shopping with my parents for a wee bit earlier.

I leave for home (Detroit) tonight at 11:59pm via Amtrak. I arrive in Toledo, OH around 6am, and then bus the last leg.

when i was visiting my college this past thursday, i was approached by the Unity president and asked to write a letter to be read to those who are attending the AOC (Always Our Children) retreat next weekend.
as a former participant, i remember how much of an impact those letters had on me, how they passionately illustrated the love and support that radiated from campus.
