having some tea.
going to bed.

just sent an email to the PR department at my college.
i’ve worked with one of the head women on a few occasions.
hoping that they will cover, and publicize, an upcoming event that is a collaboration between two student organizations, two departments, and a faculty/staff/student comprised committee.
it’s on the death penalty.
a death row exoneree from Witness to Innocence will be coming to speak on campus.
he was on death row for 16/17 years…for a crime he did not commit.
this will be big. [i hope]
i hope it changes people’s minds, and opens their hearts.
as Gandhi once said, “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”
There have been protests in Khartoum, with some people calling for President Omar al-Bashir to step down in what appears to be an echo of recent events in Tunisia and Egypt.
Activists said that dozens of people were arrested.
The unrest came on the day it was announced that some 99% of South Sudanese voted to secede from the north in region’s recent independence referendum.
just purchased two t-shirts from save darfur.
why haven’t i done so earlier, like years ago when i first heard of the crisis and ensuing injustice in sudan? i have no idea.
the point is, things have changed—for the better.
…and i’m ready for John Prendergast’s visit! ;)
well, if this isn’t one of the best messages and kindest compliments i have ever received, i don’t know what is.
thank you so much, dearest anon; you inspire me to keep going. you have brightened my evening, and i am forever grateful for you.
whoever you are, i hope that you know i love you, and that i am sending you lots of light. <3 :)
she is just the friggin cutest thing on the planet. she stretches her arm out so her paw’s touching me and/or my hand.
and she managed to weasel her way under my arm while i was laying here, which caused me to push the laptop further away so she’d fit.
but how could i resist, or even get mad? look at her.
i just fall more and more in love with her on a daily basis.

<3
[news to me!]
according to them, protests in Egypt inspire protests in Sudan.
Tuinisia = Egypt = Sudan = ?
people of the world, who desire peace, respect for rights, equality, and the like, unite!
ask yourself, WHERE IS THE LOVE?
we only have one world, and something’s wrong with it.
[but don’t get down…]
start today. start now.
do your part.
lead a life full of love.
plant seeds of peace.
be that change that you and i, that we seek.
why, you ask?
because it only takes one person to make a difference, and if we all live by this mantra, then we are individually acting in unison.
it’s a beautifully simple, and simply beautiful concept.
so, go.
act.
the time is now.
[the world is ours.]
social exchange theory.
—> equity theory.
—> my inputs are far exceeding the outputs i’m receiving.
—> this happens far too often.
—> i don’t like it, and am rather sick of it.
==> something’s got to change. <==
you’re too lovely. all you compliments…i just don’t know how to thank you anymore. they mean more to me than you will ever know. :)
thank you so much. <3

home from two meetings at school—both about service.
going to do a bit of reading, which ironically is related to the first meeting i attended this evening.
then bed…tomorrow’s the start of another week.
happy dreaming, tumblrs.
peace. love. light.
sorry for the delayed answer…
you do know him, he’s one you met at the summer institute (the second of the two who spoke). and i he has to return on feb 10 for the ruling. i’ll be there, too. i’m terribly nervous, and do not want the day to come. :/
thanks for asking, and caring. <3
