potentially [this summer]…
i think it sounds brilliant. i certainly hope all goes according to plan!
people throw the word “HATE” around too much, like it means nothing.
perhaps the word has become desensitized and lost its [true] meaning over the years.
irregardless, i don’t like it.
it needs to stop.
—-
please stop dropping “hate.”
—-
please start dropping “love.”

Global Hunger Trends
- FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN) estimates that the total number of undernourished people worldwide is expected to decline to 925 million compares with 1.023 billion in 2009.
- This decline is largely attributable to a more favourable economic environment in 2010- particularly in developing countries - and the fall in bother international and domestic food prices since 2008.
- Almost all of the world’s undernourished live in developing countries. In Asia and the Pacific, an estimated 578 million people are suffering from chronic hugner; in Sub-Saharan Africa 239 million; in Latin America and the Caribbean 53 million; in the Near East and North Africa 37 million; and in developed countries 19 million in total.
- One in seven people (adults and children) goes to bed hungry each night.
- In developing countries, the proportion of undernourished in total population has been cute from 37% in 1969-1971 to 16% in 2010.
- Globally, underweight prevalence in children under the age of five declined to 26% in 2008, from 31% in 1990.
Human Cost
- Hunger (underweight) is No. 1 on the list of the world’s top 10 health risks.
- Hunger kills more people every year than AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined.
- According to UNICEF, 1/3 of all deaths in children under the age of five in developing countries are link to undernutrition.
- The first 1,000 days of life is the critical window in which to tackle undernutrition.
